Glide OS looks interesting. I will have to give it a go soon.
I tried the Google Chrome OS but found it a bit slow even with lots of RAM thrown at it. I hope it is a bit more responsive on actual hardware (over the virtual box i had it running on).
While watching the G4 video video for Glide I almost spit out my coffee on this screen below. Juvenile and nerdy always makes me laugh.
My friends Jason Bratton (luckyfish.tv) and Scott Schroeder (psyche-digital.tv) just sent me these PhotoShopped pictures they made from the first official still of James Camron’s Avatar. They are hilarious. The top one is the original. We are all very excited about the movie but as Jason said in his email to me “I think the (photoshopped) responses express the anxiety we both feel from the initial image.” Please don’t suck Avatar.
I just got my Nerd Merit Badges in the mail. I am really excited. They were a bit smaller than I expected but they are really nice. I can’t wait to put them on something.
Blaise and I made this video yesterday because we really liked “Kittens inspired by kittens!”
It was a collaborative effort between the two of us. He made up half of the comments and I made up half. It is not that hard to guess which ones are which. He was not forced or pressured to do it in any way. The Kittens inspired by kittens video has been a favorite around here since we saw it, and is quoted constantly by both of my kids. They also love Icanhazcheeseburger and understand the humor.
They are both super nerds already and enjoy and understand a good bit of computer related humor. Memes spread around our home very quickly. We had a blast making it, and we just wanted to share the fun.
The voice in the background was his brother and mom letting us know they were leaving for soccer practice, not coaching him.
I LOVE this comic. I’ve been carrying it around with me since 1989. It has been stored with a bunch of my old clippings and inspirations. I can’t remember where I got it. I didn’t even realize who created it. But thanks to the magick tubes. I found out. It was created by Mr. Peter Hannan, probably best know as the creator of Cat Dog, the Nickelodeon Cartoon.
It would be fun to make album covers for either of these bands.
